The National Forest an area of 200 square miles in central England where more than seven million trees have been planted in the last 10 years bringing together more than 400 new and ancient woodlands to create a new Forest for the nation. Woodland cover has almost trebled, creating new habitats for wildlife and making the area an ideal location for bird and wildlife watching and with more than 700 miles of paths to explore, the gentle undulating landscape is perfect for walking, cycling and horse-riding.
