Drinks
Being a free-house we have the freedom to select our own range of beverages - a range that we're constantly developing and becoming very proud of.
From recently born local breweries through to long-established Scottish distilleries, we try to stock a selection of drinks that can satisfy every taste.
This page contains a selection of our range including our permanent cask beers, our new wine list, our draught lagers and ciders and our growing collection of Scotch Whiskeys.
It's not all about alcohol though - we also stock a selection of popular soft drinks including Britvic J20 and 55, Schweppes mixers, Coca Cola, "Fruit Shoots" for the under 10s, filter Coffees, Speciality Teas and Hot Chocolate.
Cask Ales
Over the last few years we have worked hard to establish a reputation for great quality cask beers. Our commitment to caring for the beer from the day it arrives until the last pint is served means that you can be guaranteed a great pint every time you visit.
We stock three regular beers:
- Black Sheep "Best Bitter"
- Bradfield Brewery's "Farmers Blonde"
- Abbeydale Brewery's "Moonshine"
For the latest news on our current and "coming soon" guest beers, bookmark and regularly check our "real time" BeerCam.
Wines and Ports
Our varied wine list has been carefully compiled from the opinions of our regular guests and suppliers. Seasonal changes are made to the list throughout the year and we try to cater for all tastes. We have wines for all occasions, whether it's a bottle of chilled dry white with lunch or a special Champagne on your wedding night.
Two notable additions are our new house wines:
- Cullinan View Chenin Blanc (Robertson, South Africa) - Deliciously fresh and creamy with peachy fruit character. A classic South African style.
- D'Vine Cabernet Sauvignon delle Venezie (Italy) - Bright, soft berry fruits with juicy damsons, a smooth, easy going red.
